Claire Danes gives best birthday gift for her Mother

Claire Danes’ mother is overjoyed by the actress’ engagement to longterm love Hugh Dancy – calling the wedding news the “best birthday present ever”. The “Romeo + Juliet” star, 29, has been dating 33-year-old Dancy for over a year after meeting on the set of their 2007 movie “Evening.”
Dancy proposed to Danes over the festive season during a romantic holiday in France – and it was a welcome gift for mum Carla as they broke the news to her over the phone on her 29 December (08) birthday.
Hugh is such a wonderful man and we are so pleased for them. We were at the Museum of Modern Art (in New York), and Claire called me and said, ‘There’s something we want to talk to you about.’ To be honest, I was a bit worried, but then she said Hugh had just proposed! (WENN)
