Naomi Watts and her partner Liev Schreiber took a break from their family holiday in Israel to support environmental causes in the country – attending a tree-planting ceremony with their two young sons. The Hollywood couple and their kids, Alexander, 23 months, and Samuel Kai, seven months, are currently enjoying a break in the Middle East and have spent the last week visiting famous sites including the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.
But the pair is also using their break to highlight good causes and on Sunday 14 Jun 2009 the family teamed up with the Jewish National Fund Park and spent the afternoon planting saplings in the Galilee. The environmental organisation aims to help rejuvenate areas that have been destroyed by war, Schreiber explains, “This particular area is called Galilee. And in this area, approximately 750,000 trees were destroyed in missile attacks. So what we are doing here today is called Project Renewal.“ (WENN)
