Penelope Cruz got food poisoning

Penelope Cruz has been struck down with food poisoning in Cannes. The Oscar-winning actress is in France for the prestigious Film Festival but had to pull out of a planned presentation of clips from new musical movie “Nine” after falling ill.
Penelope is believed to have fallen ill after eating fish, but is determined to make it to the premiere of her other new movie “Broken Embraces”. A source said, “She really wants to be there. Her priority is to get better for the event – no one wants to lose their Cannes moment. She was so disappointed because she wanted to enjoy the festival, but at present she’s stuck in bed.” (Showbiz)
