Reese Witherspoon wants to represent strong women
Posted on | July 17, 2009 |
Reese Witherspoon turns down every raunchy script that comes her way - because she only wants her young daughter to see mum play strong women. The “Walk The Line” star has no interest in baring all on film, and instead seeks out bold heroine roles in the hope of setting a good example for Ava, her nine-year-old daughter with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.
When asked about undressing for a role, Witherspoon told FoxNews.com, “I had my first baby when I was 23, so for me, no. I’ve always been choosing roles knowing that I have a daughter and I have a responsibility to her and to the world to be representing women of strength. These are the women I know in life. I think it’s a natural extension of parenthood for you to feel like you’re responsible for the worlds you create, whether they be silly or serious. I think you are responsible for the art you put in the world.” (WENN)
